Lynda Gerberg, MD
Pediatric Urgent Care
Dr. Lynda Gerberg is a board-certified pediatrician and provides care at Nicklaus Children’s Urgent Care Centers. She earned her medical degree from Autonomous Medical School of Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Gerberg completed a residency in pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center/Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York. She then pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts.
She is a fellow of the Urgent Care Association and member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Sports Medicine. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented at various medical conferences.
Dr. Gerberg has extensive experience leading pediatric urgent care operations, clinical program development, and multidisciplinary medical teams. Previously, she served as lead pediatrician for pediatric urgent care centers affiliated with Northwell Health/Cohen Children’s Medical Center on Long Island in New York, where she led the launch and clinical development of three pediatric urgent care sites. In this role, Dr. Gerberg oversaw physician and clinical staff recruitment, established pediatric-specific clinical protocols and operational workflows, and implemented quality initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, efficiency, and the overall family experience. She maintained an active clinical practice while guiding strategic initiatives, including value-based care programs and has extensive experience developing resident electives, mentoring clinical teams, and developing national educational and emergency preparedness initiatives for urgent care providers. In 2024, Dr. Gerberg received a grant for her development of an Autism Friendly designation program across pediatric centers.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Gerberg co-founded Love4, a volunteer medical mission organization that organizes national and international relief efforts in response to major disasters, including Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Dorian, and the Ukraine refugee crisis. In recognition of her humanitarian work and commitment to community health, she received the Humanitarian Award from the Urgent Care Association in 2020.
Dr. Gerberg is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
